Knowledge transfer offices (KTOs) are required to adopt a comprehensive approach to managing a broad set of channels of university–industry collaboration, including collaborative research, business services, exchange of human resources and informal relations within a regional innovation system. The perspectives of firms and academic researchers, the main stakeholders of KTOs, are useful complements to assess KTO activity. The goal of this article is to study the effectiveness that these stakeholders attribute to KTOs. Based on survey data collected in the Spanish region of Andalusia, the article explores stakeholders’ perceptions and determinants. The results show that the level of engagement in a diversified range of activities and the importance attributed to knowledge transfer in the strategy of both research groups and firms are the best predictors of the perceived effectiveness of KTOs. Tannase is an enzyme used in various industries and produced by a large number of microorganisms. The aim of this study was to evaluate tannase production to determine the biochemical, kinetic, and thermodynamic properties and to simulate tannase in vitro digestion. The tannase-producing fungal strain was isolated from “jamun” leaves and identified as Aspergillus tamarii. Temperature at 26°C for 67?h was the best combination for maximum tannase activity (6.35-fold; initial activity in Plackett–Burman design—15.53?U/mL and average final activity in Doehlert design—98.68?U/mL). The crude extract of tannase was optimally active at 40°C, pH 5.5 and 6.5. Moreover, tannase was stimulated by Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, and Mn2+. The half-life at 40°C lasted 247.55?min. The free energy of Gibbs, enthalpy, and entropy, at 40°C, was 81.47, 16.85, and ?0.21?kJ/mol?·?K, respectively. After total digestion, 123.95% of the original activity was retained. Results suggested that tannase from A. tamarii URM 7115 is an enzyme of interest for industrial applications, such as gallic acid production, additive for feed industry, and for beverage manufacturing, due to its catalytic and thermodynamic properties. 相似文献

为研究行走弹性对工程车辆行走换挡过程的影响,建立了考虑驱动轮轮胎变形引起的车辆行走弹性影响的整车行走动力学模型,该模型适用于换挡过程分析。计算与分析了典型装载机动力换挡过程,将考虑或不考虑行走弹性时计算得到的整车加速度和瞬时冲击度的变化过程分别进行了对比,利用实车试验对单一换挡过程进行了验证;并将考虑行走弹性时升挡过程中变速箱输入输出转速变化过程、离合器滑摩功率特性的计算结果与不考虑行走弹性时换挡过程的计算结果进行了对比。研究结果表明:与不考虑行走弹性的情况相比,行走弹性变形使得换挡过程中整车加速度的变化更加平缓;换入挡离合器有两次滑摩过程,冲击度更小,换挡时间更长;离合器接合时的冲击度与其接入时间有关;滑摩功更小。 相似文献

Incorporation of smart devices within the older framework has brought along significant challenges. This paper presents a detailed analysis of the barriers faced during the implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) within the manufacturing sector. In addition, the authors aim to obtain a hierarchical structure, which will help the policymakers to identify the most crucial barriers enabling them to make an informed decision. With the help of databases like Scopus, Web of Science, etc. a comprehensive list of 22 barriers was initially obtained. This list was further narrowed down to 10 critical barriers. The first step of the analysis involved the application of Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) technique, which quantifies the influence of the barriers amongst one another. Maximum Mean De-Entropy (MMDE) technique is then used to obtain a scientific threshold value, which is later used in the Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) technique from which a hierarchical structure of the barriers is obtained. The results of this study are expected to highlight the most crucial barriers wherein the researchers and practitioners can focus their strategic efforts. Hot-dip galvanizing is a standard technology to produce coated steel strips. The primary objective of the galvanizing process is to establish a homogeneous zinc layer with a defined thickness. One condition to achieve this objective is a uniform transverse distance between the strip and the gas wiping dies, which blow off excessive liquid zinc. Therefore, a flat strip profile at the gas wiping dies is required. However, strips processed in such plants often exhibit residual curvatures which entail unknown flatness defects of the strip. Such flatness defects cause non-uniform air gaps and hence an inhomogeneous zinc coating thickness. Modern hot-dip galvanizing lines often use electromagnets to control the transverse strip profile near the gas wiping dies. Typically, the control algorithms ensure a flat strip profile at the electromagnets because the sensors for the transverse strip displacement are also located at this position and it is unfeasible to mount displacement sensors directly at the gas wiping dies. This brings along that in general a flatness defect remains at the gas wiping dies, which in turn entails a suboptimal coating.In this paper, a model-based method for a feedforward control of the strip profile at the position of the gas wiping dies is developed. This method is based on a plate model of the axially moving strip that takes into account the flatness defects in the strip. First, an estimator of the flatness defects is developed and validated for various test strips and settings of the plant. Using the validated mathematical model, a simulation study is performed to compare the state-of-the-art control approach (flat strip profile at the electromagnets) with the optimization-based feedforward controller (flat strip profile at the gas wiping dies) proposed in this paper. The Malaysian electricity industry evolved from a vertically integrated utility into a single-buyer model, which considered a precursor to deregulation and a competitive market. This study considers electricity sector reform in Malaysia and proposes a market structure for the industry.
